As we get older, the options for housing can feel isolating, expensive, or not as safe as we’d like. At Rising Tide, we offer beautifully furnished private and shared rooms in a welcoming, stable environment where active seniors can thrive, connect, and enjoy life.

Rising Tide is not assisted living or a medical facility. Instead, it’s an affordable, community-based option for older adults who don’t need daily medical care but want the benefits of safe, stable housing with a supportive environment.

In addition to a clean, comfortable and beautiful home, we have activities and amenities available as add-ons, such as:

  • hiking/walks

  • transportation

  • parking

Where is Rising Tide?

We currently has three locations: two homes in Oakland near Lake Merritt, and our newest home in Hayward.

  • Independent living built on community. You have your own private or shared room, and shared spaces for cooking, dining, and connecting with others.

  • Our focus is on independent seniors who want affordable housing with the benefits of community and support.

  • Yes. Some rooms are private, others are shared, but everyone has their own secure space.

  • Staff help coordinate resources such as transportation, meal options, and activities. Just as important, the peer community offers daily connection and encouragement.

  • Because community matters. It’s easier—and more enjoyable—to stay healthy, active, and connected when you’re surrounded by people on the same path.

  • We charge on a sliding scale. Rates very according to income, occupancy, amenities etc. Call for details and availability.
